to Spend a Year on 'Mars'

with a small group is difficult.

3. The people that were doing the experiment brought entertainment to combat boredom and they 

relied on each other because family could not be reached through easy means.

4. The participants felt like it was lonesome and boring because they shared limited space with other 

people that decided to do the experiment. The people that did the experiment brought entertainment 

such as music instruments and traditional games to entertain themselves.

5. The author believes that living in Mars is not easy because of the harsh conditions in the planet 

and the distance from family and friends. The author explains how the psychological demands and 

spaceflight physical demands are immense to be living in a lifeless planet.
