UMass-Amherst: Harambe Jokes Are Racist
Microaggressions, Violate Title IX
Harambe's death was very unfortunate because he is the gorilla who was above all other gorillas. He was not "just a gorilla" he was a inspirational figure to all in the United States. I do not agree with article because mentioning Harambe is not meant to be a racist comment, it should be thought more as a complement because he was a gorilla who was put down to prevent the death of a child that an irresponsible mom let climb the fence into the exhibit. Although Harambe may be used in a residential community for African Americans it does not mean that the citizens are being discriminated against. Furthermore, I would like to state that none should feels disrespected since this should not be taken as a insult and should not even be taken to account since it isn't a serious issue.
